DAMSEL PRODUCTIONS AND PINT-SIZED PRESENT
PINT-SIZED GOES DAMSEL
BUNKER THEATRE
21 may 2017, 7PM
Pint-Sized and Damsel Productions bring you a night of energised new writing centred around the female experience.
Six writers, six directors, all women.
Building on the previous success of their sell-out evenings of new writing, Pint-Sized are joining forces with Damsel Productions to bring audiences a night of work exclusively by women. The six new pieces of writing will be inspired by prompts provided by the public, responding to the question: “what does it mean to be a woman in 2017?”. Expect memes, locker room talk, tactless tweets and much much more.
Part of the evening is also committed to bringing together female artists at varying stages of their careers, including engaging established mentors for the night who will guide our emerging writers with their work. The writers will be mentored by Lolita Chakrabarti, Timberlake Wertenbaker and Polly Stenham, who will provide writers with constructive feedback and guidance for their pieces.
Writers attached to the project were Abi Zakarian (Fabric), Tabitha Mortiboy (Beacons), Genevieve Hulme-Beaman (Pondling), Matilda Ibini (Muscovado) Jessie Thompson (SYC) and Callum O. Crouch (Rain).
